These are interesting ideas, about not listening to albums that are in your top 50 and mostly listening to new music. I've often found the beginning of charts kinda boring because, although they are great albums they are kind of uninteresting...radiohead...beatles.... I'm always much more interested in albums that are not normaly ranked high but an individual felt inclined to rank it high. Those are usually the albums that I am likely to sample.

If I remember correctly you used to be able to look at the top 10000 or so albums on the over all chart. That was a lot of fun.
