pffff as much as I love ITAOTS, the art cover ISN'T amazing. It's indie weird, but that's it.
I prefer the inside pictures.

I know that 🤡 I mean the image as a whole. The shortest to tallest thing. Doesn't really matter though.

you could interpret Unknown Pleasures in such a way that the cover art compliments Ian's obsession with control since pulsars "blink" with incredible consistency. the way in which the pulsar is represented on the cover is meant to accentuate its consistent "blinking." there's also a kind of dark interpretation if you think of a pulsar as a "space lighthouse," which is very much what they look like.
