I don't expect Ernest to go too far in this tournament - I doubt most would have heard of him - but seriously he is to Jamaican music (and I use that term not as a snob, but purely due to his versatility - mento, ska, reggae, jazz) what Dick Dale was to the surf guitar. To say he 'invented' reggae may be a little too much, but without him JA music would be a great deal poorer.
The man is a bona fide genius, and still going strong today...
