Gowi recommended a few of us to undergo this listening "project". In brief, Alelsupreme, CubaZed, Goodsir, EyeZayZay, SuedeSwede, and I will be going through Rate Your Music's Top 1,000 albums (from 1-1000) and we'll be commenting on the albums while we're listening to them. We always discuss albums on Skype, and we had this thing where we called each other and discussed BEA's Top 100 with each of us taking a turn to give our thoughts on an album, but this seems much more efficient and organized.

It's kinda a "comment-as-you-listen-to-it", basically showing our impressions of it.
Cool, I'm interested to see how it plays out. Maybe you could announce which album you're listening to and then let other users join you in listening/commenting, if they like.

So I like the idea, and I'm not trying to be a dick, but why RYM's top 1000? Seems to me that that will just generate in-depth discussion on already canonized albums that don't really need it and won't really lead to many interesting discoveries. It seems an awful lot like devoting an entirely new project to doing what the Album of the Day system already does.
Just my two cents, anyhow. Good luck with however you end up going about it, should be an interesting project any way you slice it.
