RawHyde

It's not great, but a tad better than Take Me To Your Leader.

Take Me To Your Leader.

A very slept on DOOM project.. I don't think this alias was very captivating.

I can't help but feel people are voting for DOOM simply because he's DOOM. Listen to the album, this was one of his weaker projects. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it's a weird transitional period between KMD and DOOMSDAY and Madvillain and it doesn't quite fit together right for me. Also a bit confused why this was allowed since it's the same guy as MF DOOM just under another moniker, and I thought we had 1 album/artist but w/e.

The idea behind RawHyde is far more interesting than almost any other rap album I've encountered (ironically, DOOM's one of the only ones I'd say is at the same level of creativity). The flow is great, the production's interesting, and not only does the album work as a whole, individual tracks are also great. Bulk Protein is one of my favorite rap songs ever, and Hyde Park is really high up there too.

So do what you feel's right, site, but don't just give your vote to Take Me To Your Leader for the man behind it. He's great, and will probably get my vote on his other project here for some time, but this just wasn't great for him. RawHyde is more unique and interesting in my honest opinion.

RawHyde, easily.

I wouldn't have known DOOM was behind Take Me To Your Leader if someone hadn't of mentioned it. Smile I liked DangerDoom a lot so I feel one way here.
