For me, Neil Young and then Arcade Fire and Alanis Morissette (just my own preference based on who I'd prefer to listen to). I've had trouble getting into Joni Mitchell. I tried Blue a while back, but I guess it needs more listens.

I also noticed Arcade Fire is outranking Neil Young on the band stats page which seems a bit crazy. I think a lot of Neil Young's work is overlooked by the modern audience.

Well I should probably post mine then... great choices so far:

2. Neil Young- Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
3. RUSH- 2112
4. Arcade Fire- Funeral
5. Daniel Lanois- For The Beauty Of Wynona
6. Jagged Little Pill- Alanis Morissette
7. Harvest- Neil Young
8. Stars- Set Yourself On Fire
9. Songs of Leonard Cohen- Leonard Cohen

And so many honourable mentions. That probably doesn't correspond to my actual list at all. Oh well

Wow, no Hip on this page yet? What gives? Is everyone too young to remember how awesome they were in the 90's? Does everyone think they're too mainstream? How easily people forget how much the 80's sucked and what a great enema Up to Here was in its time and what a great live band they were in their prime....

I have a couple actual responses to this. I used the search tool to find the best Canadian albums on this site:
http://www.besteveralbums.com/makechart...amp;page=1

My list, artificially unskewed toward my love of the Hip is:

1. Up To Here- The Tragically Hip
2. After the Gold Rush - Neil Young
3. Hospital Music - Matthew Good
4. Funeral - Arcade Fire
5. Fully Completely - The Tragically Hip
6. Harvest - Neil Young
7. Lost Together - Blue Rodeo
8. Billy Talent II - Billy Talent
9. Twin Cinema - The New Pornographers
10. First Glance - April Wine

I like Gary's list which is the most hoser-ish list it seems to me. April Wine? Not one but two Rush albums at the top? Fuckin A, eh.
