You'll Cowards Don't Even Smoke Crack by Viper
Here's a lil somethin' for you bustas...

Real talk, though. Forget all the memes and the jokes made about Viper, and his almost parodical idea of what a hip-hop artist's image should be. Detach all of that from this album and it's actually something truly beautiful. The beats are surreal and dreamy, Viper's voice is deep and soft, and it becomes incredibly relaxing, and dare I say it... occasionally spiritual. It's almost like a surreal fever dream about hip-hop culture and street life. It takes an every day hip-hop image and construes it into something that shares more similarities with ambient than Wu-Tang or Nas.

Dreamworld by Blackout

An incredibly solid, enjoyable Memphis rap/horrorcore album. It shares a lot in common with Three 6 Mafia and others from the scene. Like most in the genre, it's able to adequately paint a portrait of the difficulties of life in Memphis and the constant state of fear that those living in the streets of Memphis have to deal with, as well as the "kill or be killed" attitude. "Midnight Murda" is a standout, and for that alone I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommended for horrorcore fans and especially fans of Three 6 Mafia.

2:00 PM

The Unseen by Quasimoto
Great abstract hip-hop record that is great throughout, but does get tiresome near the end regardless. You can see how he developed from here to Madvilliany and it's nice to see some of the same samples as well.

6:00 PM

Steal This Album by The Coup

This is actually the best description I've ever heard for the greatness of You'll Cowards. I still personally prefer

Kill Urself Nigga by Viper
But he really does have something special here.

I can't wait to see the rest of this ULL Based Kev Smile

Thank U My Man

(I will get to that album eventually though if it's half as good as You'll Cowards)
