As some of you are aware, I'm taking an Apocalypse in Film course in college, and after finding Pale Horses today, was hoping to find other albums for the course. Currently I've got the following:

Pale Horses by mewithoutyou

F♯A♯∞ by Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Absolution by Muse

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips

Replicas by Tubeway Army

Box Car Racer by Box Car Racer

I KNOW there's got to be more out there. I just know it. Please do let me know if you're aware of any.

maybe not exactly apocalypse, but apocalypse-adjacent. I've mentioned this one on here before but still haven't added it

Church Universal And Triumphant, Inc. Featuring Elizabeth Clare Prophet ‎– The Sounds Of American Doomsday Cults
http://www.discogs.com/Church-Universal...ter/314118

So I don't think they exactly talk about the apocalypse on here but they're a real cult and this is from their wikipedia page's controversy section

Quote:
Public scrutiny intensified in 1989 when it was discovered the Church Universal and Triumphant was building fallout shelters and that members of the church, including vice president and husband of Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Edward Francis, had purchased weapons illegally. (The weapons were legal to purchase, but Francis and other members used a false identity to purchase them in an attempt to avoid negative publicity for the church.)

So I think that might be of some interest for you.

The Apocalypse comes in many forms for me.

There's the desert wasteland Apocalypse

Sackcloth 'n' Ashes by 16 Horsepower

There's the technological Apocalypse

Fantastic Damage by El-P

The divine Apocalypse

Matrix 5 by Krzysztof Penderecki

a bunch of others that I had in mind but totally forgot just now until further notice...

For a split second, I thought you meant this was a concept album, then I would have to give it a listen.

Thank you for the El-P above all else, not very familiar with him and had been recommended "That one El-P album ... you know the one" so I had no idea what they meant. Will be doing a write-up on this at some point, and will have to check out secretdad's thing as well, that seems very ... different.

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis
I'm not sure if this qualifies? I suppose it depends on which interpretation of the album you prescribe to. Oh, and speaking of artists/albums everyone hates that I love....

Hey I made an apocalypse playlist a few years ago for the impending 2012 doomsday :

Though it will probably happen not with a bang but with a whimper.
