there's this cute British foursome that put together a kind of dumbed-down approximation of their vocal harmonies in the mid-'60s. i think they called it Rubber Soul or something.

Love the Beach Boys - best band ever? Could be. Anywho, check out the Aluminum Group! Also I second the High Llamas' Gideon Gaye suggestion, you can definitely hear the influence. American Spring's Sweet Mountain is a fantastic piece of Beach Boys-esque music, though that's probably as Brian Wilson was involved ๐Ÿ˜„
