Because I don't like negative threads here is an alternative. Name 5 x-mas songs you actually like or can tolerate.

I'll start us off:

1. Fairytale of New York
2. Happy x-mas (war is over)
3. I believe in Father Christmas
4. Step into Christmas
5. Merry Christmas baby by Otis Redding

Apart from all the traditional songs sung in a traditional manner (which I love), these are my favorites:

1. Mariah Carey, "All I Want For Christmas Is You"
2. The Drifters, "White Christmas"
3. Brenda Lee, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"
4. Amy Grant, "Tennessee Christmas"
5. Wham!, "Last Christmas"

Of course, the only thing I really need for Christmas is the Vince Guaraldi Trio.

Christmas music is one thing I don't hold to the same standard as other music. I love the standard tunes, the ones that have been classics since I was born. Sure, some of my favorite artists have done Christmas songs but the ones that make me feel good are the ones I've been hearing my entire life that bring back fond memories of childhood.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Frank Sinatra
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer - Gene Autry
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas - Perry Como
Have a Holly Jolly Christmas - Burl Ives
Rockin Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee
