Because The Night - Patti Smith Group
Blinded By The Light - Manfred Mann's Earth Band

On the Dark Side

Oh wait, that's actually John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band... it just sounds exactly like Springsteen.

That's as close as I get to liking anything by Springsteen.

But Courtney Cox was sure cute in the Dancing in the Dark video.

Lol. I'm not a fan either, but I came up with 5 or 6. And then struggled after that. But I really like the ones that I came up with.

That's an interesting one. I'll go with

1. Thunder Road
2. The River
3. Reason To Believe
4. The Ties That Bind
5. The Ghost Of Tom Joad (love the original but a special shoutout to Tom Morello's incredible solo on High Hopes version)
6. Nebraska
7. Darkness On The Edge Of Town
8. Point Blank
9. Badlands
10. New York City Serenade

Honorable mentions:
Jungleland, Hungry Heart, Racing In The Street, Independence Day, The Promised Land, Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out, Born To Run, Johnny 99

I guess your lead off there can come on the radio without me spinning the tuner knob in a microsecond. Maybe Born to Run as well, even if it is hopelessly cliché.

But if terrorists ever need to get me to talk all they need to is put me in a room and play any other Springsteen song. If they lead with Glory Days or Tunnel of Love, I'll cave even faster. Just don't go with I'm on fire or I'll find a way to kill myself even before I talk!
