I think this is the first time I've never heard of the album of the day.

I haven't listened to it either, and it may actually be decent. The cover art sure is interesting, and the live version is even bolded on RYM.
I wonder what DBZ thinks of this.

i'm surprised you guys don't know about this one. it was pretty well acclaimed critically when it was released. it's good stuff. not terribly original. a little forgettable, but Grounds for Divorce and One Day Like This are pretty stellar stadium rock anthems. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

Okay, listening now, and it is.... Inoffensive. Still really love that album art, though.

Amazing art rock record. Can't decide if I prefer this, or Asleep in the Back. Either way, Elbow can do no wrong.

I remember Elbow as being the band I used to confuse The National with. I first heard this and Boxer around the same time, and thought both were pretty dull and unmemorable.
The National grew on me and Elbow did not. Haven't listened to this album in years, but honestly don't feel I need to revisit it, for now at least. Truthfully, I can't really remember what this album sounds like though.

I prefer Cast Of Thousands, but this one is also pretty excellent. Guy Garvey is just a fantastic vocalist and the songs are especially moving live. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

I picked up a copy of this in my younger years that I still have, used to love it but rarely listen to it anymore, I still rate it as a good album though, and in a way, one that helped put me on the road to discovering more music. _________________
