I was going to vote Elvis, then I listened to the yotuube video of the other artist who I hadn't heard of. Now I'm in no doubt Elvis should win this. 😲

Going to have to give Kode9 a shot before submitting a vote. Had never heard of them before. I am generally favorable to Elvis' work though, so they would have to be more than half-bad to get my vote.

Quite right. Now I've already established before that Costello only has about 3 good songs out of his 1,230 that he wrote 😉 , but after listening to about 2 minutes of Kode9 he goes through easily.

maybe I chose the wrong video to introduce them with 🫢 but i really liked it and it made me stop and think a decision which i originally was going to phone in. So I'll have to listen to some more kode9.

This is my first time hearing of Kode9, sorry but there not nearly as good as Elvis.

And you're completely wrong about that. I seriously wonder about someone who makes a statement like that. Do you recognize great songwriting when you hear it?

I sure do know good songwriting. How about Huey Lewis?

He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. 😄
