Too soon? Of course! Thus, I'm not even going to bother inventing an excuse for myself, and just go ahead and share my hilariously ill informed predictions, so that we can all collectively mock them in six months.

Billy Lynne's Long Halftime Walk will probably end up getting Best Picture. Ang Lee has been snubbed in that category at least 3 times now.

Plus, it's like.. uber American-ish. Although, by the looks of it, it might also be slightly anti-American... but I'm not sure ๐Ÿค”

Either way, looking forward to many of those. I wouldn't count out Cafe Society, Fences or The Light Between Oceans though.

Can't wait to see Silence or La La Land.

I also think Oliver Stone's Snowden will get some attention, primarily for directing.

I'm really excited by the possibilities of diversity this year. High profile films directed by Ang Lee, Denzel Washington, Nate Parker, Amma Asante, and Mira Nair.

Leading roles for Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Ruth Negga, Lupita Nyong'o, David Oyelowo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Nate Parker, Viola Davis, and Dev Patel.

High hopes for this year's Oscars. Let's see if those diversity improvement plans will pay off so quickly.

Also, while not predicting this for the Oscars, I think Hugh Grant has a good shot at a Golden Globe nomination for Florence Foster Jenkins.
