I guess it's all in how one perceives the game.
When I watch baseball I enjoy the strategy of the pitching for one thing. Is he going to throw a fastball low and inside or a curve ball or maybe pitch out and have the catcher pick off the runner who is very fast and may try to steal second base.
How long do you leave the starting pitcher in do you maybe want a reliever to come in the game.
Or, the guy on first is sllloow so do you send in a pinch runner for him because you are 1 run down. But, if you do, you lose your best power hitter who is on first for the rest of the game.
Do you intentionally walk the runner.
Do you bring the infield in to stop the bunt.
Do you shift the out field because the batter typically hits to the same part of the outfield.
ETC. ETC.
I love the strategy of baseball 😁
