It was a long shot, but I agree it was their best shot at that point. Hell, the way the play was going they would have dropped the ball 3 more times on the way to home plate.

Very very true. Was such an odd play to happen right at the end of the game after such a wonderfully played World Series

Agreed. I even predicted that they would choke on the last out, but I was saying that more to cheer myself up than because I actually thought they would
