Hey there folks, I just updated my chart with 100 albums for the first time, and I would like some feedback. Before you complain: 1) Yes, I know 50% are from the 70s, I don't care and 2) Once I get past 100 my taste really diversifies, I swear. Also, let me know if you think any other albums by certain artists should be higher/lower, I like hearing people's preferences of certain artists albums. Anyway, have at it! ๐Ÿ˜

What sort of feedback are you looking for? As far as I can tell, you've done everything correctly. 100 albums that you like with comments justifying your position.

Well, not all albums have justification. Only 3 if I remember correctly. But as for feedback, mostly just if you think something should be higher or a different album by an artist should be above another.

Have you heard Art Blakey's Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers (aka Moanin') or Free For All?

Yeah, I really like jazz.

Yes I have listened to Moanin' by Art Blakey but have not heard Free for All.

Side note, I was President of a music appreciation club in college and I chose Moanin' for one of our meetings. In my top album excel sheet I have it as number 145.

A music appreciation club that only appreciates music from the 70s? No Classical, Modern, or 80s. I would not be a part of that club personally...

If you're referring to my list, that wasn't what we played all year. I was leader, but didn't have absolute control over the music selections. Here's some of what we played this past year

Sound of Silver โ€“ LCD Soundsystem
Things Fall Apart โ€“ The Roots
Ctrl โ€“ SZA
Plays and Sings the Blues โ€“ John Lee Hooker
(No Pussyfooting) โ€“ Fripp & Eno
Turn on the Bright Lights - Interpol
Purple Rain โ€“ Prince
Fleet Foxes โ€“ Fleet Foxes
Miles Ahead โ€“ Miles Davis
Parallel Lines โ€“ Blondie
Moaninโ€™ โ€“ Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers
A Phil Spector Christmas
Glassworks โ€“ Philip Glass
Pieces of a man โ€“ Gil Scott-Heron
Presenting the fabulous Ronettes featuring Veronica โ€“ The Ronettes
Blue โ€“ Joni Mitchell
Setbacks โ€“ Schoolboy Q
Headhunters โ€“ Herbie Hancock
Dust Bowl Ballads โ€“ Woody Guthrie
