USA is not one of my favorite tracks on the album, but it's better than the Elvis Costello song, which sounds very much like the respectable but bland music you'd expect a musician decades past his prime to make. _________________ Join us in the canon game / Add me on RYM
Jeff Rosenstock has never fully clicked with me, but I found his song a lot more interesting than Costello's. _________________ And it's hard to be a human being. And it's harder as anything else.
Unwanted Number isn't bad but the chorus sort of grates. A catchy punchy pop song in true costello fashion that at this point is admittedly stale but certainly not embarassing.
USA wouldn't be my choice of a track from that LP either, but I love Jeff Rosentock's energy so that easily gets my vote here.

Yep, kind of feel the same here. Not a fan of either in all honesty, and although it's about 4 minutes too long I preferred Jeff over Declan's effort. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing Folk 'n Stuff SHAMELESS RECORD DEALER PLUG
Yeah the Elvis Costello number has the feeling of an old master who doesn't really have anything left to say, a modestly well-crafted but rather moribund tune, and while USA was one of the more musicadlly conventional tracks off of POST and easily could've been cut in half it still has a lot of feeling and even more charm, so Ill give it the edge here
