Félicia Atkinson & Jefre Cantu-Ledesma.
Both are notable gems from 2018 that I hope people give a chance though. _________________ Doubles & Conch

Go for one of my ultimate '10s dream matchup of Atkinson and Cantu-Ledesma, Sobrenadar was pretty but didn't move the needle either way for me, easy vote for Solitutudes

I wanted/expected to like Limpid As The Solitudes, but it was actually physically painful to my ears. I'm wondering if it was a less than ideal listening environment that was responsible (my car stereo). But the albums before and after sounded fine, and I've successfully listened to ambient/drone before in the car. Did anyone else have a similar issue? The clicking, popping, whirring, and static were causing issues for me. It's rare that music goes beyond annoyance to actual discomfort.
However, even if my car stereo did throw things off for FA/JCL and it does sound better under different conditions, I'm confident in Y as my choice. Simply gorgeous dream pop, and my second-favorite discovery of the tournament after Insula. Great rec!

Edit: Limpid As The Solitudes does sound better on headphones, which also help bring out the subtleties of the music, but it still gives me a bit of aural discomfort. Upgraded in rating, but my vote is the same. _________________ Join us in the canon game / Add me on RYM
