hi all,

i'm not meaning to go on a political bent (that's best saved for the appropriate forums). But i've discovered lately that every song about ronald reagan or with ronald reagan (samples) in it are good songs.

I just heard "they saved reagan's brain" and it's pretty darn good. there's also that killer mike song that's pretty good. Other two songs i can think of are (i think it's) "gods of war" by def leppard and "land of confusion" from genesis (both 80s songs). But i could swear there have been other "ronald reagan" songs lately. Can you think of any others, by chance?

I was about to post that one 😮 It was the first one that came to mind!

Oh... might have thought of a second! "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now' by Dead Kennedys. I'm only guessing they use him by name though.

What does Nebraska have to do with Ronald Reagan? No mention of him on the albums wikipedia page.

It explored themes of poverty, desolation and pessimism to contrast the 'me-first', feel-good commercialism of trickle-down Reagan Americana. To show that not everyone in the US was flourishing, that many were struggling under the new economic reality.
