Yeahhhh this one's got the cult behind it but I think it's aged pretty terribly, much worse than Evil Empire even. Eight years into their career at this point and they're already sounding removed from their political fire and much more like a band that would play at a Beto O'Rourke inauguration

Interestingly enough I think the same but swapped. I feel like they had a lull there in the middle. (misreading... maybe you only mean politically, in which case carry on).
Musically though - It's grown on me more (I thought it was pretty over produced and kinda meh when it first came out).
NOTHING tops their self titled though... musically and lyrically top notch.
While I do like the album overall, one thing that's always bothered me is how "safe" it sounds. It's a return to the sound of their self-titled debut, but the production is more clean and sterile while the songs are shorter, more radio-friendly, and have a lot less foul language. It sounds less like a metal album and more like a pop/rock album.
That being said, "Testify", "Guerrilla Radio", "Calm Like a Bomb", "Sleep Now in the Fire", and "Born of a Broken Man" are all Rage Against the Machine classics.
