Okay, guys! Since this is obviously the last year of human existence :P, I thought it would be interesting to see what music is coming out next year.
Personally, I know that the following artists plan to release new albums next year:
*Avril Lavigne (in a more poppy manner than Goodbye Lullaby)
*Rush (with Clockwork Angels)
*Lana Del Rey (W00TYEAHPUNK!!!! THIS POPPY STUFF's AWESOEM!!! IT'S COMING JANUARY 30! FREAK YEAHH!!!!!!!!)
*Alanis Morissette apparently
* This will be the first studio album under the banner of Black Sabbath since 1978, and the first official “Black Sabbath” studio album since 1995 (although you could make a case for 2008′s “The Devil You Know”. The last time this incarnation of the band released anything, it was 1998′s “Reunion” album.
* This was formally announced at a well publicized press conference at the Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA on Nov 11, 2011 (@ 11:11AM PST).
* This album was said to not be including any of the songs or work from the last attempt at a Mk I reunion album in 2001.
* At the 11-11-11 press conference, Geezer Butler said that the new material “sounds like the old Sabbath style and sound”.
