I don't mind experimenting, but I just don't like this album at all. Too much noise just for the sake of the noise being there. The Gift seems like a nice idea, but I can't follow the story and the jam session is pretty boring to me. Listening to Sister Ray brains my damage.

I like Lady Godiva's Operation though. More ear-friendly (some melody + Cale's vocals) and on the good side of "weird"

I love love LOVE the wacked-out solo'ing in this album! "I Heard Her Call My Name" is probably one of my favorite songs of ALL time.
That said, with all the weirdness on this album, I feel like "Here She Comes Now" is an overlooked track, and a really beautiful one at that, that really foreshadowed some of the more gentle-sounding stuff on '69's Velvet Underground.

Not too in love with this album, a bit too experimental for me.

Anybody who's looked at my chart since I changed it significantly a while ago will know that I'm one of the biggest fans of this album ever.
