In response to Bad Album Covers, II wanted to submit a topic about album covers which are good!

For example: One album cover that has held my interest for a long time is "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Vinyl"'s

The many background elements boldly represented with three colors mainly see through the sky which beautifully lights all the objects below it blending in the background associated with the three human characters symbolizing for each one a certain time or place in the video-game's story associated with them, 3D-rendered detailed visuals and the very symmetrical composition: the 2D camera view, the one-point-perspective loosely leading to Sephiroth's head, Cloud's and Zack's heads being exactly in the horizontal middle of the image, symbolizing their connection to each other, the triangular composition created by the sky, the mountains and mainly the three character's heads, etc.

So if you'd like, please share with everyone your favorite album covers, or at least ones you think are good!

I can't think of any right off the top of my head, but my favorite album covers would probably just be ones with pretty scenery or maybe something nostalgic. I usually just like something simple and quaint, nothing really outlandish.

I have way too many favorites to mention, but I always loved novelty album covers and I used to collect them whenever I saw them for cheap. Stuff like these:

Sing It Again Rod by Rod Stewart

Originally it was cut into the shape of the whiskey glass. And here's another cut out one:

Steppin' by Pointer Sisters

The ankle strap on the shoe was a cut-out.

Shinin' On by Grand Funk

It was a 3D cover and it came with a pair of 3D glasses attached.

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones

My parents had an original pressing of this and it had an actual zipper on the pants that actually worked.

Here's another novelty one that I thought of. It was really elaborate. The cover was like a snakeskin wallet, and it was actually textured like snakeskin. And the corners were even rounded like a wallet. And when you opened it up it had these cut out bands that held fake $1,000,000 bills with Alice Cooper on it where a president's head usually is on real dollar bills. And the album slipped into the cover in a weird way like kind of backwards. It was awesome.

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper

And then this one too. It was an actual cardboard box like the kind the post office uses. But whenever you saw it like in a used vinyl store they were always all crushed up and falling apart, and sometimes with Scotch tape that people put all over it to hold it together. Ha ha

I like the colors on this cover and there's just something quaint about it, which is the kind of covers I like.
