"This is the album with which Beach House truly becomes the rightful successor to Slowdive. They became more confident in their compositions, their melodies are stronger and catchier. Every song holds its own, theres no filler in sight. Give this album your time and attention and every song has its moment to shine in the sun!
This album is everything I love about dream pop. Literally sonic art; just stare at a blank wall or the sky while listening to this album and watch it come alive with colors and waves as it feels like just swimming in the sound.
I am so happy that Beach House exists and decided to usher in a new generation of Dream Pop, and i would like to believe that landmark albums like this one are what inspired MBV, Ride and Slowdive to make their comebacks. Shoegaze is alive in 2010s and I am infinitely grateful."
