The Shelagh McDonald story is quite remarkable too, not to mention tragic. She should have been right up there with Sandy Denny, Annie Haslam et al in the annals of UK pastoral folk-rock history, so it's nice to see someone ranking her highly like this. (I should do it myself!) At least she managed to make it back eventually...
Speaking of whom, it looks like the name of her first LP is supposed to be just "Album," not "Shelagh McDonald Album." I don't think we even have the correct rotation/orientation of the cover art on that one. (Discogs)
