Which version of the Clash's debut do you prefer, the original or the US version?

U.S for me, if only for the inclusion of White Man (in Hammersmith Palais)

Definitely, the US. It's more balanced I think, having a second reggae-tinged song on it, and their cover of I Fought the Law is the definitive version. And Complete Control is one of their best songs ever! It's just stronger across the board. It's interesting because in almost all cases, (The Beatles, especially), the UK releases trump the US ones, providing more bang for the buck, but not in this case.

Are the UK version and the US version still listed and ranked separately on BEA?

Only having heard the UK version, would someone be kind enough to list the differences in the track listing.

As well as a re-recorded version of White Riot, US has:

Clash City Rockers
Complete Control
(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais
I Fought the Law
Jail Guitar Doors

UK has:

Deny
Protex Blue
Cheat
48 Hours

The first version of the LP I had was the US one, but as time's gone on the UK version is the one for me. Partly due to the sequencing (Janie Jones is a far superior way to open the album), partly as Protex Blue and 48 Hours are essential tracks. Plus as much as I love Complete Control and ....Hammersmith Palais, the UK version hangs together much better as an album without them.

The UK version is a decent example of punk; the US version is a FANTASTIC example of pop punk.
