Just out of curiosity, who on this site actually plays a musical instrument? I know of a few who do (nibbles, johnnyrocketfingers, myself)
I play: cello, piano and a little guitar.

I've played Tuba for a while now.
I'm currently taking trombone and piano lessons and plan to start on string bass soon.

Fortunately, both those instruments are easy to learn by yourself. I'd start with piano, as it provides an excellent foundation for every other musical instrument that you may play.
It only took me about two months to get halfway decent at guitar.

I have a classical guitar that I fiddle around with, been playing for a year but I only play it about 2-3 times a week. I mostly play pop/folk songs like Dylan, Neutral Milk Hotel and the like. I pretty much suck, but I love singing.

i play guitar...i prefer my acoustic (takamine) but also have an electric (les paul). anyone play in a band?

I used to play the flute? Band geek!
And as soon as I have enough money I'm getting a ukulele.
