Hell. What a horrible tie. I'll go for PJ, in loving memory of discovering her way back when, I still listen to Dry so much. And she had last year's best LP IMO. Love Newsom too, of course, but the heart hath speakt.

I've heard six albums by PJ Harvey (plus seen her live) and only one by Joanna Newsom. And yet that one album is good enough to make me vote for Newsom.
