Okay, so I've been listening to this album a lot lately, and I'm trying really hard to understand why there are TWO Stones albums ranked higher than it on our overall chart (particularly Let It Bleed).

So who else thinks this is the one that deserves to be recognized as their greatest achievement?

It's a great album, no argument there, but for me, both Let it Bleed and Exile outrank it. Sorry.

If you have the patience I would say Exile On Main Street is the best. It's not really an album you can just put on whenever you like though (at least not if you want to enjoy it).

Then probably

Sticky Fingers
Beggars Banquet
Let It Bleed
Aftermath

Although those four are pretty interchangeable depending on the day.

I agree that Exile is great. I think I just tend to prefer more compact albums myself, haha.

I think it's the second best, tied with Beggars Banquet.

I enjoy Let it Bleed the most, but I think Exile of Main St is technically their best. Sticky Fingers is fun but it doesn't reach the heights of either of them. All fantastic, I think they're ranked fairly.

Coming from someone who's not a huge Stones fan, I'd say Beggars Banquet is easily their best work. Sticky Fingers is certainly not a bad listen though.

Exile is their best, but Sticky Fingers is right up there with Beggars, Let it Bleed, Aftermath... and am I alone in thinking Some Girls is nearly their best?

Not at all. I actually think it's their VERY best!

1. Some Girls
2. Sticky Fingers
3. Let It Bleed
4. Tattoo You
5. Exile on Main St.
