  • Post subject: Suggestions for The Ultimate Beatles Collection

I'm currently working on a 4-disc set, for now called The Ultimate Beatles Collection (I'm looking for suggestions for better names too though), and the rough tracklist so far is like this:

23. "She Said She Said" - 2:39
24. "For No One" - 2:03
25. "Rain" - 3:02
26. "I Want To Tell You" - 2:31

10. "Across The Universe" - 3:51

12. "I've Got a Feeling" - 3:38
13. "Free As a Bird"- 4:25
14. "Real Love" - 3:54

I'd like to get feedback for the selections (I know something like this can't be perfect and won't please everybody). This isn't just a "collection of my favorite songs in chronological order" kind of list, as sometimes I've changed the order a bit, and I've included some more tracks from the earlier period and omitted some good tracks from the later period (The White Album mostly), though even so, it feels like I went through the pre-Rubber Soul period too quickly 🤔

The ultimate Beatles' collection is their complete body of work, but that's just an opinion.

That's a different thing (I personally disagree though obviously, there's too much filler in their work before Sgt. Pepper).

I'm starting to consider the track "Let It Be" for the fourth disc 🤔

Coming from a disliker of the beatles, I disagree. They have some amazing stuff, really amazing, but they only have a few gems per album.

Discs 2 - 4 probably have some of my favorite Beatles songs. Disc 1, I am a bit mixed on.

I'm still laughing. Please go on.
I guess I (and countless other famous and unknown musicians) was wrong in studying the art of songwriting with such underachievers

I only said I dislike The Beatles. I never said they aren't influential(there's no denying that). It's just a personal thing where I dislike bands that aren't always pleasing to my ears and mind(music and lyrics). I like a nice amount of their songs, but the other amount, I don't like.
