A year ago, I decided that instead of being bored at home during the school holidays, I should do something. That something was logging onto my wife's old laptop, opening Sony Acid and listening back to a track I made in 2011.
After making a few more, I created my first EP, Dialect. Since then, as many of you know, I have continued to create noise. Loops, found sound, 1950s radio recording and my own attempts at music creation have formed my output.
I have almost completed my 12 EPs in 12 months challenge, with only December to go. So expect something soon.
I know many might skip over this thread, some may not. I wanted to thank those that have helped to spur me on during the year. It has filled me with enough confidence to continue. I still am apprehensive to mention that I mess around with sounds on a computer to close family and friends (for fear of something... don't know) but I am glad that a community like BEA can encourage artists to pursue their goals.
2014 might have less output as I want to take a step back from challenges. Quality over quantity as someone once said.
Keep an eye on the bandcamp page and the post-punkambient bandcamp page as well. Plenty of plans for more compilations too!
Nice, have enjoyed a fair proportion of what I've heard, but must admit that I haven't kept up with all of it. Looking forward to seeing how your sound progresses. Keep up the good work.
Sound progression ideas:
- Actually play an instrument more than experiment with it
- Use more vocals (my own or others)
- Try to master tracks louder
- Help others to release music
- Remixing other people's tracks

Well these all sound like fantastic ideas. If you need a guinea pig for remixing, let me know.
