...here you can build your Pokemon dream team and put it to the test against thousands of people around the world. Using the "Challonge" Tournament Bracket Generator (found here: http://challonge.com/tournament/bracket_generator ) we're going to get this Pokeparty started.
THE RULES (more to come):
-Your Pokemon posse must contain exactly six pokemon.
-All Pokemon must be level 100.
-Items are not permitted.
-You must divy up each Pokemon's 508 EV points amongst their skills.
-All IVs must be set to 31.
-Because all IVs are at 31, you can use Hidden Power but it... won't be so hidden...
-Your Pokemon must possess the skills that that Pokemon could naturally obtain; either through level up, HM or TM; as of Generation V. e.g. My Blaziken should not have Hydro Pump.
-All teams must be posted here to apply.
-Your Pokemon team may be edited at any time, but the edits must be posted before play or face instant disqualification.
-If you're vain enough, your Pokemon can be shiny.
-NO YOU CAN'T BE FUCKING MISSINGNO.
-A maximum of one legendary Pokemon per team, got it? And no, the Regis don't count as legendaries, feel free to use all three/four if you so choose. Refer to list but count out the Regis: http://nu-u.forumotion.com/t17-list-of-legendary-pokemon.
-You can have someone else field your team for you if you so choose.
-You may change your Pokemon's nature if you so choose.
WHAT YOU DO:
After you've made a team, post the text here and then name youself your BEA name on Pokemon Showdown. When the member you are set to battle shows up, type this into chat:
/w [opponent's username], [message]
To engage in private chat. Once you two have chatted, one of you clicks the other's username, and opt to "challenge" them.
Choose custom battle from the scroll down menu and pick your team, then make the challenge. The other user merely has to accept.
You two battle, and then once it is done one of you sends the link to the replay of the match to me, and I'll post it in the forums with the winner.
You can also spectate on other user's matches, by finding them on Showdown the same way you'd find an opponent (as outlined earlier) and clicking on the game they're in under "in rooms".
(Because it's more convenient, we'll probably use one of the smaller servers)
After forming a team in Pokemon Showdown, take the text file found in "Import/Export" and copy/paste the text found therein here. My team is as follows:
