This week coming is an important week for milestones.

2nd year wedding anniversary,
Last week of term 1 (took its time!),

And 4th month of recording.

I am a youngster when it comes to creating music but with 13 releases (and 3 in the shed), I was wondering where others are at with their timespan of making music.

Wow, thanks for the kudos.

Merzbow is also insane with his releases.

I am 28 and in my 5th band. And have had no progress in any of them except 5 demos with about 5 songs each; most have no lyrics on most of them.

But have had a bunch of fun doing it. Really bummed a few of those bands didn't work out. I guess when you are young, some relationships move on quick because people go off to school, etc. Never gotten past playing clubs of about 200 people. But this music demon just won't let me free, even if I do suck.

Fun format... I'll give it a go...

1998- first time I "jammed" playing guitar with a friend, two of us on acoustic guitars.
1999- Saved up all summer and bought a Danelectro Longhorn bass
1999- Played in my first band with just guitar bass and drums playing Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters.
2000- Played in my first "real" band writing music, we wrote and recorded 5 songs, with no lyrics/singer.
2001- Moved to Los Angeles to be a rock star... just kidding, cause me mum got a job there.
2002- jammed in some band that was hip, but had no talent, we wrote maybe 2-3 Strokes like songs
2003- went to Silverlake Music Conservatory and studied bass... met Flea Smile.
2004- Moved to Germany/Austria
2007- Moved back to LA and played in a talent show we won, but then moved to UT for school.
2008- Played for Nate Baldwin and the Sound - first legit band playing venues twice a month
2009- Formed my second legit band, writing 5 songs, again with no singer/lyrics.
2012- Formed my third legit band, currently writing... about 8 songs, with singing and lyrics...
2013- Bought a Mesa Boogie M6 Carbine head and 6x10 Powerhouse cabinet Smile.
