  • Post subject: Any popular music albums I have missed?
It's becoming clear I am running dry of albums I have yet to listen in the area of popular music. The only ongoing recommendations I have from users on this website (Thanks! You know who you are!) are ones which are proving very hard to find. It will take a long time for them to come to fruition.

So which popular music albums are essential listens in your book? I'm looking for albums which have sold a 6 figure amount of copies and are generally by established acts. They don't have to be stadium fillers, just acts who could fill a modest venue.

As I have run out of albums to listen I'll be sure to check out all I can here.

My taste in music isn't very obscure so pretty much anything off my chart is fair game.

Well, it depends from what you have listened. Do your album ratings cover everything you have listened to?

I reckon the best thing to do is just look through the top 1000 for 'popular' music, best starting point I guess...

I'm looking for the thoughts of others. I would like to see what they would recommend and why than check a list. Feels more personal this way.

My 'listened' albums on my profile is much closer to the amount I have listened. I deleted my ratings a while back and have only added a handful of albums so far.

I saw you haven't checked out Spiderland, but I think you don't dig post rock... Another recommendation which springs to mind is From Elvis In Memphis, if you're into The King.
