I've been trying to get a good copy of the proper 4-disc Zaireeka album, preferably on CD, so I can have one of the Zaireeka parties.

Anyone else done one of these before? How'd it go, and where did you get your copy of the album?

I haven't been to a party, but I downloaded a mix of the album where all 4 discs were put together and WOW! I now can't decide whether Soft Bulletin or Zaireeka is better. You should try to do this if you can.

I've listened to that. It was good but I think the experience with actual CDs would be different and probably much better.

Exactly. I've heard two of the mixed songs, but really want to go for the full experience.

I've done it twice, it's really incredible. It's really not that hard to find 4 CD players to play them on, especially considering that you can just rip the audio off if need be. Anyways you have to try it.

I did this years ago... invited a couple of music friends to a party my roommate and I were having, and set up four boomboxes in the basement. The other people their rolled their eyes as we had musical nirvana. We may have converted a few... We've done it again a couple of more times - always good, but never as magical as the first time.

I got all 4 discs on Ebay.

I did it once and it was really enjoyable, but I can't do it again
Because playing it at the exact same time is damn hard....

I think that's the point.

I didn't find it that hard... the discs give you countdowns on when to hit play on the next one.

I've been thinking about trying this for a while as well. I was wondering however, is it difficult to get the four discs to synch right?
