Well this a topic about the website and other music-rating sites in general. There was absolutely no point to make this about Obama. We can argue endlessly if it was right to split the conversation but it was going needlessly off topic (like a lot of other non-Barack-Obama-related topics). And Naples, if you hate the "censorship" (and pretty much every user) so much on BEA, WHY DO YOU STAY HERE?!!!!! That's an honest question, you don't seem to be enjoying yourself in the forums unless you're trashing a political figurehead or mocking other users. That's not a healthy way to have fun.

Wow, I haven't noticed. But why do you constantly condescend to everybody and call them names (oh wait, that's right, it's never "intentionally directed" at us) if everybody here is a decent chap in your eyes? I know you are "starting to dislike" me cuz I call you on it, and won't stop and either bow to you or get childish and whine to somebody else, and apparently that breaks your cool and gets you irritated. However, that's no different from many other users that you've had arguments with, so clearly it's something different that apparently gets you really angry... hmm, wonder what that could be. All Im saying is... try to have some fun here. Don't think like we're just "non-convertible leftists" who can't be bothered with, but rather just another BEA user who you can actually have a fun discussion with and, maybe, just maybe, actually learn from as well. And that goes beyond the politics forum. I don't hate you, I just don't see how you can enjoy your time here if all you like to do is complain and mock.
But anyway, I think this thread has started a good discussion, even if the title may not quite be fitting. I do really prefer this site to other larger music-rating websites, mainly because of the personality- everybody gets to make their mark with their own greatest ever albums chart, rather than just clicking on a lot of stars and being another one-in-a-million rater of music. I agree that this website's youth is probably why it isn't as well-known or large as say RYM, but it's an extremely well-organized site and a great way to get a very personal take on different albums you may have otherwise not come across or bothered with originally. I also agree with the Poe's idea, this could be used as a good template for other artistic mediums as well.

The best way to not get trolled is a little self awareness.

You remind me of a teacher's pet, a tattletale or Little Goody Two-Shoes, not sure which. Have you memorized Miss Manners' Guide to Excruciatingly Correct Behavior? _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES

Saoirse reminds me of a well-rounded adult with a healthy sense of perspective.
Anyways, back on topic. I love BEA!

the RFnaples, who copies republican talking points word-for-word is now trying to call somebody else a teacher's pet? I don't bow down to anybody, especially you. And Im done being polite here. I have no problem with you disliking barack obama, and saying exactly how so in the poltics forum. And while there may be questions about attitude and personal conduct, the rhetoric at least in a fitting section of the forums and people are specifically there to discuss and debate it. It's when you go to various thread topics that aren't involved in political issues in the slightest and then ruthlessly pollute them with your "I HATE OBAMA AND YOU'RE ALL OBAMA-LOVING SOCIALISTS" related talk, only to scream "tyranny! censorship!" when somebody comes and has to clean up the mess is what's sickening. If you want to discuss politics, discuss it in a political section, it couldn't be more clear. You're given every oppurtunity to say what you want and you're not being censored when you're off-topic ranting is moved to a more appropiate forum. Not everybody is here to talk about politics, or perhaps in this case, willing to be lectured by someone who only wants to rant on about which elected official they hate and then just simply laugh off anybody who comes in with a rebuttal.
So Im not gonna say anymore. You can reply anyway you like but this is about BEA's influence and not politics or personal conflict between users so Im not going to comment further on the matter.
Edit: sorry, didn't see Shankly's comment yet, yes let's get back on topic if there's anything more to discuss on this matter.

Have you considered leaving BEA if you dislike the users here?
