Why did I open this thread? I guess you can call it an appreciation thread for this instrument, one which can cover a massive playing range (the most of any instrument?). I don't think there's another instrument that could sound so good by itself.
So.. yeah... I get in the mood sometimes where I just like to listen to some of the pieces/songs where piano is at the forefront. Of course it can also be an ideal accompaniment in pretty much all kinds of genres. Posted are some of my favourites, I didn't want to clog up the thread with YT vids already in the first post, so only six for now.

I guess the other reason I opened this thread is because I need some recs. Esp. solo pieces, but I'll be happy with anything really, ... So, please don't hesitate to post your favourites.

You seem to prefer shorter pieces, so here's a few off the top of my head:

Androgynous by The Replacements is my favorite song of all time. I guess that means I kinda like piano.
