I was sold on What I Want From You Is Sweet from the moment of the first plucked string. This is the type of album I'd expect from Brandon: cute female folk clearly influenced by Vashti and Joni.

I've tried to like Black Dice for a long time. They were an important cog in Brooklyn's scene when I arrived here. I've seen them 3 or 4 times. They have a great sound. But their music also has always felt a bit soulless to me
