I need a baby name, gender unknown right now. I think an homage to (good) music would be nice. Any ideas?
She already vetoed Moon Unit, btw.

What is it with you Americans and your crazy names?
Whatever you pick, make sure it's something very subtle, otherwise that kid will be carrying a novelty above their head for the rest of their lives for only your benefit.

Guess I should have used an emoticon.
Anyway, my other child's crazy American name is Julien, which is an homage to John Lennon (his son was named "Julian", for whom "Hey Jude" was written). That should give you an idea of the level of subtlety I'm going for here.

Gonna need a last name.
Friend of mine just had a daughter. Named her Brooke. Nice name.
Except his last name is Buck.

That's awesome (in a bad way).
Ok, Basili is the last name.

Until I saw your last name, I was going to suggest Tiger Lily.. But Tiger Lily Basilli sounds a bit silly I also quite like Heavenly... That could work with Basilli....
You could go for a fruit... That is very popular amongst the rock fraternity these days...
Apple
Peaches
Probably not Nectarine or Greengage though

One of my friends says that her dad tried to convince her mom to name her The Edge.
Anyways, I've always liked the name Jane for girls for a lot of reasons. It pops up in big songs from Jane's Addiction (not to mention the band name), Velvet Underground, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Spiritualized, Stevie Nicks, etc.
I don't really have any favorite names for dudes, but you have a few Davids in your chart: David Bowie, Dave Grohl, David Lovering, David Gilmour, and maybe others.

Two we're considering for a girl are Emma and Cecilia. The problem with the former is that it's really popular right now...
