I love the Beasties' debut, but I love the Mothers' debut even more.

This is hard. I'll probably go for the Beasties, but I'll relisten to Freak Out! first.

Licensed was pretty dope, but come one, Freak Out! is easily one of the greatest albums of all time. It's massively influential, an amazing piece of social commentary, and just flat out great music.

I really like Licensed to Ill. But it's not my favourite Beastie album. While Zappa is terribly hit and miss with me, Freak Out! is remarkable. I'm going Freak Out's way.

If Licensed didn't exist and Paul's Boutique was the Beastie Boys' debut, this match would be a totally different ballgame.

Both massive debuts by massive artists. Both got better after their debut, but License to Ill is closer to the Beastie Boys peak.
