I just read that country trio Lady Antebellum will be re-releasing their newest album named Golden next month with newer songs added to it. To me, this is a way to make the album as a whole sell more, but on the other hand, it can also make those who bought the album when it was released the first time feel like they should have waited because their copy will not have as many songs as the newer released copy does. What do y'all think?

I like the idea overall. My re-release of bat Out of Hell has a live version of the title track which, although not comparable to the studio version, has it's own flare that rocks out loud. re-releases means more songs. There's never been a downside to me.
Usually I'd be against this but since I discovered the re release of Microminiature Love by Michael Yonkers Band my mind has been changed. The 6 tracks that were added pretty much count as the second half of the album in my mind.
Edit: actually, it depends. Sometimes it's done right and sometimes it isn't.

I hate bonus tracks for the most part. Those tracks didn't make the original cut for a reason, and I think people are foolish for falling for the whole "buy the album again because it has new tracks" ploy.
And that live "Bat Out Of Hell" track is one of the most painfully awful vocals ever recorded. Aday should have never allowed that to be heard by anyone. His voice was so torn up that he could barely finish the song. A perfect example of why bonus tracks suck. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

It really just depends on the album; I can completely ignore them if an album has been a struggle to get through (Doesn't happen that often though), but I can love these tracks on other albums. There have been numerous times where I've bought re-releases and not released the tracks at the end weren't part of the original tracklist, therefore being convinced for months that they were actually part of the album till I see it on BEA... 🧱 _________________
As long as they're at the end I don't care. I just eject the CD from my stereo before they start playing. Now, on albums like The Stone Roses where they just plop them right in the middle of the album, THAT pisses me off.
