These are just a few:

For No One by The Beatles gives me the picture of a lonely man standing in front of a house and his girl hiding in the windows.

In My Life by The Beatles makes me think of Stonehenge. Don't ask me why Think I have no idea.

Life On Mars? by David Bowie gives me the picture of this sad girl walking around, watching shows and aleays looking at the sky and asking herself if there's freedom up there.

Hey You by Pink Floyd makes me imagine a young girl, afraid, cuddled up in a corner and not receiving the helping hand because she's on the wrong side of the wall

The entire Naked album by Talking Heads takes me to a jungle until I drown in the cool water...

Last night I listened to a few songs, all by Kansas:
The Wall,Can I Tell You, and No One Together.

I felt something BIG when I listened to 1 and 3. I found it was just nostalgia because the Best of Kansas was the first rock CD I've ever heard, as many people may know. I was around 3 when I first heard it.

The Wall - I pictured a block in front of Steve Walsh, the lead singer, and I thought about how everyone has a wall, a mental wall that can block us from what's right and what's important. Kinda sappy, but that's what it makes me think of.

Can I Tell You - All three verses are the same lyrics, so all I picture is the violinist doing his freaky solo. He can play!

No One Together - I look down a balcony from a very high, big, and cream colored building, looking down at the world and seeing what should be beautiful, but the beauty of nature is often shrouded by the chaos of men.

Slow Show

17 year-old me at a party in early 2010, humming the song to myself quietly while making glances across the room towards who will here be referred to as "Jamie Choi" and smiling awkwardly at her while I stiffly sip my flat Corona and think tipsy thoughts about ripping her clothes off and mounting her against the living room wall.

Eventually she notices me and she comes over and we talk but I'm too shy and nervous and I totally botch the whole thing and she gets distracted by her friends and goes to dance with them and I just watch.

In the real life version I joined them and ended up going out with her, but I prefer this lingering bitter ending.

(I'm not going to mention Tom Waits because his songs are so vivid that we all picture exactly what he wants us to.)

Songs:

Boards of Canada - Beware The Friendly Stranger
This image already existed long before I heard the song. I am a child on a tricycle, living at a commune out in the country in the hills. It's a late autumn afternoon and wind is blowing. Everything is cast in a blue-green light. I ride around the corner of a small weathered wooden building and see a scarecrow walking towards me. Everything distorts and I cannot see his face clearly; my vision just blurs whenever I look at him. Then I die.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - The Dead Flag Blues
The sun hangs low, glowing red in the polluted sky. Dust everywhere. The ground is tilted at a 45 degree angle, and a landslide has destroyed the city. Everything is brown, grey, red. A military aeroplane flies in the distance. A loud throbbing drowns out the screams.

Albums:

Aphex Twin - SAWII
Like listening to a secret, intensely alien conversation between inanimate objects and subsequently being driven mad by the omnipresent vibrations of the universe.

Death Grips - The Money Store
A naked, paranoid, inebriated vagrant staggers across a freeway, shouting the fibonacci sequence at drivers by.

The imagery I get from Beware The Friendly Stranger is eerily similar
