I wonder if this is possible: while I am ignoring a user to stop being annoyed be the pile of sh things he writes, I am being kept posted on whatever moronidownright offensi goes through his mind because he is very much quoted. Would it be possible, when you ignore someone, to have the quotes of him ignored as well?

Lol I had the same problem a while back, possibly with the same user(?) and it just seemed pointless so I just unblocked them. Completely being able to block a user, much like you can do on Facebook, would be great. _________________
that seems very hard to do because unlike facebook, forums have quoting. anyone can easily pull a quote out of their ass with bbcode
in order to block quoted material by that person, you'd have to block any posts with their username in it
yes, that's pretty much spot on & I don't know if it would be possible to achieve this with this forum software without a lot of hacking. The other approach is, if there is a particular user that is causing the same problems for everybody, then that person could either change their behaviour, or that person could not be allowed to visit the site any more (especially if they have already had a few warnings).
