I love For Emma, it's a great album that gets loads of crap from being popular. I love Exuma even more. Maybe because it's a more recent discovery but the passion of Exuma is unmatched

Let's be careful, some of us don't give a shit that it's popular and just dislike it because it's boring and lyrically predictable and his voice is equal parts annoying-whiny and annoying-yappy and he tries to maintain this air of sincerity with the type of muddy, lo-fi production that I usually fall for but that just sounds forced here and those shitty harmonies that get attempted every so often just make the whole thing sound like a bad The Band tribute act. Actually, I'm being very harsh and all of those things are exaggerations of my actual thoughts on the album (in fact I quite enjoy his debut to some extent), but the point stands that there are perfectly valid reasons for disliking this record and that we shouldn't assume that those who aren't fans are acting that way simply because the record is popular.
Anyway, I voted Exuma because I prefer it.

Although I love both, it wasn't even much of a thought for me. Exuma

take some of your own advice sir. I wasn't making direct accusations. And you can't deny that there are gonna be plenty of haters who just have a problem with the album because it's popular.
The whole cabin story is bullshit (in that it's not a unique story that makes his record any more "genuine" than anyone else's). But For Emma is still pretty awesome. Those harmonies may be inspired by The Band or whatever but they sound fantastic.

Fair point, I was being overly defensive. My bad.
