The Strypes accuse Simon Cowell of 'destroying music'

Lots of these upcoming bands keep saying things as said in the article below. The music Simon Cowell has a hand in (mostly the X-Factor) is for the unintelligent. It's for the people who are told what to listen to. The "manipulation of naive young minds" is a little strong too. In fact, it's one of the things which helped Rock N Roll become so popular. You know, telling well off children these new bunch of dudes with guitars are "where it's at".

I'm sure the people taking in the X-Factor's music decide for themselves on what songs and albums to download and listen as the indie kid who is touted the albums and singles of The Strypes.

"We make music that sounds kinda like Jet, but others are to blame for shitty music"

- the strypes, somehow

I can't help but think that people who read this article thinking "hm yes this band is right" are worse in terms of being brainwashed than what the strypes see as a problem
