Going to try to start a pair vs contest like the others on here, but to determine the top 10 guitarists as voted by users on this site. New to this, but I'm thinking two weeks from this post will be the deadline for submitting all the possible guitarists up to a maximum of 400; each user should submit their own top 10 guitarists. Two weeks from now I'll put all the shit in a spreadsheet and randomize the match-ups and then everyone can start voting on each match-up like the other contests on this site. I think one week should be the set response time to each match up. Open to any other suggestions for rules, etc... by the end, you should be able to see how your 10 favorite guitarists stack up against the general users' picks...

This is a personal list of guitarists that have meant a lot to me over the years. It is not an objective list of all-time great guitarists and you won't see most on the walls of Guitar Center. I like guitarists that add color and emotion to a song and that serve the song first and foremost, not themselves. I also like jangle as will be apparent with some of my first choices.
