Was this ever released in a BEA-eligible form? It looks like a series of singles that were then compiled into two EPs, both of which are too short for eligibility. _________________ Add me on RYM

If not, two weeks for nominations at most. Like last year, we'll have 32 slots plus however many play-ins are required. There were 39 nominations last year. As always, one nomination per person.
Here's the spreadsheet. |
Things have been really busy for me this week. Scrambling to find a new roommate, as my current one is moving. Deadline will be July 14, as I haven't had time to do outreach for nominations yet.
I'm going to nominate my current favorite album of 2018, as I do not have time to go back and review several others carefully to see if they surpass it:

Put me for Moonlight Bay.
Also for underrated records, can someone put The Field's Infinite Moment in this game since that album slaps.

The Road Is Just A Surface by Anja Garbarek
probably not going to make it past the first round, but hopefully one or two of y'all find yourself loving it half as much as i do. it's pretty conceptual, but it grows on you if you give it time and space. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

Depending on how the rounds are set up, I could see a vote from me. Quite an excellent record for weird electronics. My only complaints would be that the album even for it's short timespan can feel a little lengthy. As well as artists like Julia Holter and Sophie had more mind bending records. Otherwise I did find this quite fascinating and entertaining ride. Also quite curious for her other records since she had some albums in the 2000's.
