Eden as an artist means a lot to me. I would never claim to have gone through anything special, but he was there for me when I was at a particularly rough patch of my life... His song "wake up" has been like a shoulder to cry on. When this album got released I was over the moon. I heard him live when he performed, which made the album even more special to me (as it was the first time I had ever been to a concert). I love every song in this album, and It's one of the few albums where I can't just listen to one song by itself...

OKAY so this is atm the most recent addition to my list... I only recently started paying attention to songs in the context of albums. additionally I have been listening a LOT to Hyukoh and I gotta say; holy shit. I haven't had a single song from them that I didn't like. I could put almost every single album of them in my chart, no kidding. this one however is probably my favourite (although 24 and 20 were pretty amazing too, the competition!). I like everything from the intro (burning youth) to the last song in the album. I don't know how to describe burning youth, I really don't but I feel like a bunch of beautiful illustrations flash through my eyes and I feel my heart rate go up, Like a kid going to the circus for the first time in their life. Tokyo Inn is a feel good rock piece ish thingy (If you couldn't tell my knowledge on this stuff is limited AF). TOMBOY is a real pearl in this album. I haven't listened to a song making me this happy in a long time. I felt emotional the first time listening to it (and the times after that), without even knowing the lyrics to it yet. It felt me with a feeling of nostaligia even? It will never cease to impress me just how well emotions are translated through music, despite not understanding the language of the song. I have been jammin to "Jesus lived in a motel room" all summer so far and I think I will continue to jam to it for a LONG time.
Don't misunderstand, I could write about every single song in this album, because I genuinely enjoy every single one of them, but I will just leave it like this.

Now, I like the songs on this album but, damn... The song "열기구 Balloon" is indescribable to me. I oftentimes find myself crying to this song. The two singers convey a feeling of pain beautifully. The fact that I felt this way about this even before I looked up the translated lyrics makes it more amazing. I'll get into that point later. I am shy to show this song to people, as the chorus has a particular "sound" to it, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Back to the lyrics, since it's in Korean, a language that I don't speak, I didn't understand the song. Looking up the meaning turned out to be a no easy task, as there were no translations online, which is rare.
I went to Twitter and asked for a translation. A really nice girl helped me out. My conversation with her and the beautiful song combined has sparked the urge for me to learn Korean. I'll get into it eventually (when I've learned an adequate amount of Chinese, which is at a higher priority). [First added to this chart: 02/23/2019]
