Immortal are a traditional black metal band from Norway. In contrast to the typical satanic lyrics of other early black metal bands, Immortal's lyrics typically follow stories written about their own fictional war-torn world of Blashyrkh. Their albums "At the Heart of Winter" and "Sons of Northern Darkness" are considered essentials to the black metal collection.
